Wrap That Survives The Sun
Ordinary polyethylene degrades under ultraviolet light. The polymer chains break down, the film yellows, goes brittle and eventually splits under its own retained tension — often within weeks under direct West African sun. A pallet that was stable on day one collapses on day forty.
UV Stretch Film carries a UV stabiliser package built into the resin at extrusion. The additive absorbs and dissipates ultraviolet energy before it can attack the polymer, so the film keeps its elongation, its tear strength and its containment force through extended exposure rather than losing them steadily.
It is specified wherever wrapped goods sit outside: yard staging, open-sided storage, construction materials on site, agricultural inputs, long sea freight on deck, and any distribution chain where a pallet may wait outdoors before it is opened.

Key Features
UV stabiliser package
Additive built in at extrusion, dispersed through the film rather than coated onto it.
Extended outdoor life
Retains strength and containment through months of direct exposure instead of weeks.
Resists embrittlement
Holds elongation and tear strength as it ages, so the wrap does not shatter when handled.
Sustained load stability
Containment force decays slowly, keeping outdoor pallets square for the whole storage period.
Full stretch performance
Stabilised grades run at the same pre-stretch as the equivalent standard film.
Clear or pigmented
Available clear, or in white to reflect heat and black for concealment outdoors.
High transparency
Clear grade stays readable, so labels survive the storage period along with the film.
Recyclable material
Single-polymer polyethylene, recyclable through standard PE film streams.
Available Colours
UV grades are produced clear as standard, and in the full pigmented range where concealment or colour coding is needed outdoors as well. White is worth singling out: it reflects heat as well as blocking UV, which keeps the load under it measurably cooler in open storage.
Standard colours are produced routinely and carry the normal minimum order. Colours marked to order, and any bespoke tint, need a dedicated production run — the minimum is higher and the shade is matched against a sample before we schedule it. Opacity, gauge and stretch performance are held level with the clear grade in every colour.
Built To Your Specification
UV stabilisation is the defining option on this page, but it is not exclusive — it combines with any of the following in a single production run.

Applications
Performance Characteristics
For outdoor film the question is not how it performs on day one but how much performance is left on day ninety. These are the properties that decide that.
UV resistance
6 – 12 months typicalRated exposure before measurable loss of tensile strength. The single figure that separates this grade from standard film — confirm the rating you need against your storage period.
Stretchability
Matches standard gradeElongation is not compromised by the stabiliser package, so yield per roll stays level.
Load retention
Slow decayContainment force held over the storage period rather than falling away — the practical reason outdoor pallets stay square.
Cling performance
One- or two-sideLayer-to-layer tack maintained through thermal cycling between day and night temperatures.
Tear resistance
High, sustainedStandard film embrittles and tears at a touch once degraded; a stabilised grade stays tough enough to handle.
Puncture resistance
HighImpact energy absorbed at corners, held through exposure rather than lost with it.
Film memory
RetainedElastic recovery preserved as the film ages, which is what keeps the wrap tight rather than slack.
Optical clarity
High, low yellowingResistance to the yellowing that makes aged standard film opaque and its labels unreadable.
Performance values are typical for the standard grade and vary with gauge, wrapping method and load profile. Ask for the test report covering your specification.
Equipment Compatibility
UV grades are produced to either a hand or a machine specification and run on exactly the same equipment as the standard film — no setting changes required.
UV Film Against The Rest Of The Range
Six stretch film grades. Specify UV whenever wrapped goods will sit in direct sun — no other grade in the range is built to survive it.
